What are the most difficult aspects of having a sexuality that involves kink or BDSM for you personally?

Having to hide it. I'm the kind of person who's very open about myself but I've found, over time, that you just can't up and talk about BDSM with just anyone. People will either not like it, not like YOU for it, or think that you're signaling that you want to fuck them, to give 3 examples.
Okay, sometimes they're cool with it but most of the time it makes things awkward.
