This isn't Harry Potter's wand...

Nope. It's the Don Wand blue tip. This doesn't mean it's not magic, though.

I gotta admit, a lot of things I'm reviewing on this blog have been things I've never tried before - and this will be another one. This is my first ever glass toy. I've always been afraid of glass toys but after watching some videos about how borosilicate ( also known as Pyrex ) is more resilient than regular glass - e.g. it doesn't splinter or shatter if it breaks, it just snaps into chunks - I decided to give it a go.

Best. Idea. Ever.

This thing is absolutely gorgeous. With a perfectly clear shaft and a rich, dark-blue bulb on one end of it, this could practically be an art piece instead of a dildo... even if it isn't. I've got to say that this could be a very discrete dildo; I actually leave it out because I can pass it off as a swanky glass sculpture.

The packaging is a nice, grey box with a cut-out on the front that lets you see your purchase right off; while it is classy-looking, it's not terribly discrete. On the back of it there's a brief description of the toy and its uses, including temperature play, material specs and cleaning tips.

This wand has two ends; one with a bulb on it and one that looks kind of like a honey-dipper. The ribbed honey-dipper end has rings that are wide enough that they don't hurt me, which is great - the stimulation of using this to thrust is really, really nice. The rings are also wide enough that I can feel them internally, so they give a fairly constant stimulation to my gspot because of the constant rubbing.

My absolute favorite use for this end, though, is constantly pulling it out then re-penetrating myself with it.  The roundness of the ball on the end of it makes it easy to do this because it glides in rather than offers resistance like it would have if they hadn't added that. Each 'pop' of the rings on this end is extremely satisfying, kind of like using a dildo with multiple heads. It's very stimulating to the vaginal opening and I haven't found that it aggravates my urethra any, even though it has absolutely zero give to it, so that gives it major bonus points.

The other end is just a ball at the end of a smooth shaft; I really like this one for 'rocking' g-spot stimulation. I tried the popping-it-in-then-pulling-it-out method and  it doesn't feel anywhere near as good with this one; nope. I found that if I press the ball right up against my g-spot and use the dipper end of it as a lever to put pressure on myself internally, it works out really well. Very short thrusting movements can also help with this; combine it with the rocking motion you can get with the handle and it can give some very satisfying orgasms.

Anally, I think that this could be used - just with caution. Both ends have enough of a 'flare' to stop it from immediately getting pulled into your body, but if you're using the dipper end first I'd be more wary than if it was the other way around. The ball end has a smooth graduation from the shaft to the ball itself, so it could be easier to get lost in your butt. If it's slippery with lube it could also get sucked in, so I think anal with this toy is just a matter of personal preference. ( By the way, if you do get it lost, I'm not responsible! )

Now, there's something I haven't mentioned about this - temperature play. I absolutely love letting this sit in a bowl of warm water before using it because it's seriously really, really pleasant - especially if I'm not in the mood for a cold dildo. Watch out that you don't heat it up too much though, because it's possible to accidentally burn yourself.

If I am in the mood for a cold dildo, however, I can just pop this in the fridge or the freezer for awhile til it's perfectly chilled and then pull it out and go to town. The material holds both hot and cold really, really well - I've had it maintain both temperatures for 15 minutes or more without trouble, so if temperature play is your thing then you're probably going to enjoy this toy - or any glass toy, for that matter.

Now, have some measurements! This wand is 8 and 1/4th inches long from end to end; the ball end is 1 1/4th inches wide while the shaft itself is 3/4ths an inch wide. The dipper end measures out at a smidge under 1 1/2 inches on the rings, while the ball is the same 1 1/4th inches as the other end.

Cleaning-wise, this has one of the widest ranges of cleaning methods. You can put it in the dishwasher without soap for a cycle, you can wipe it down with toy-wipes, you can use anti-bacterial soap and warm water... Pretty much anything, even boiling.

This is also one of the most versatile toy materials for lubes and storage options; you can use any lube you want with it and it won't degrade the material any - silicone, oil-based, water... you name it and it can be used with it. Since it's glass, you can also store it with other toys and it won't melt the materials any. Go ahead and store it with rubber or silicone, no ill results will come of it.

In total, I'm giving this a 5 out of 5.

Thanks, Body Jungle, for sending me this product! Reviewing it was a blast.
